Announcement

We have postponed the fall Georgia Member Forum and will meet again in the spring. Finding a good date in the fall that does not conflict with GaComo has been difficult. Also, we would like to be able to discuss the changes on the horizon with SOLINET, PALINET and OCLC. By spring, we should have a better idea of what those changes will encompass and how they will affect libraries in Georgia. We will also need to amend our by-laws to reflect those changes in our group structure. We will dedicate the spring meeting to the new SOLINET.

Please stay tuned for location and dates for the meeting as well as a draft of the modifications to the by-laws.

Changes

Hello Georgia Member Forum Planning team! It has come to my attention that there is a group already working on the planning for the SOLINET Georgia meetings. That said, I want to thank everyone who has volunteered their time and blog comments up to this point. I will now be working directly with the meeting committee to get the upcoming Georgia meetings planned. But, there is always an opportunity to be a part of the planning committees in the future. So please attend the next SOLINET Georgia meeting to find out how you can be a part of the planning in the future.

Scheduling

Hi all - let's really try to get some dates established. My September is filling up fast so let's look at another month. GACOMO is 10/15 - 10/17 so perhaps we should look into November to allow folks to recover from being at a conference. How about the week of November 10-14? Any conflicts??

Hello to all you folks willing to help plan the SOLINET Georgia Member Forum! This will be our central meeting place to start the planning process. How does everyone feel about a Georgia meeting in October?

Also, what do you think - should we plan 2 since Georgia is pretty large or should we just plan to have a centralized meeting?
